Another indispensable partner in our path to being health, besides discipline, is faith. Faith in the Universe, in yourself, in the process. Faith will open your mind, body and soul and will double the value of every step you take. It will not allow you to doubt, give up, be afraid or be discouraged. No matter how hard the road is, this little light insight you, called “faith,” will push you like a strong wind from behind, in the most miraculous way.
You will also have two tricky enemies: you, who will tend to sabotage yourself, and people around you, who will immediately look with skepticism, distrust or irony at all your choices that they consider to be unusual, out-of-the-box.
Personally, when I set out on the path of healing, when all my doctors no longer had solutions for me, I was left alone to figure things out. I remember that only mentioning nutrition, meditation, or natural treatments, I was deeply ridiculed and accused of wasting time and not trusting to stay on the side of science. It turned out that I was still going hand in hand with science, but in a clean, complex way, by analyzing the human body in depth, and going directly to the root causes, not just handling the side effects.
My advice to you is to form a small team of specialists that will support you in the healing process, to which you can share your progress, and which can advise you or give you strength when you feel like giving up. For me, these strong pillars were, as I said, a nutritionist, a functional medicine practitioner, two of my Reiki and Qigong Masters and a psychotherapist. [I thought a lot about adding God to this list, but God has become part of me. He is in everything. I prayed to Him and allowed Him to become my thoughts, my footsteps, my soul].
Many were the days when, after a period of exceptional progress, I would wake up the next day with inflammation and chronic pain. And although, by then, I had reached the point where I could figure out what caused it immediately and I knew the ways in which I could balance myself again, my mind was exhausted. My soul was exhausted. And what I did was reaching out to one of my support team specialists. Never be afraid to ask for help!
The truth is that it becomes almost a sacrilege, at some point, to give up. It’s like you built the strongest fortress with a lot of effort, together with your team, and you decide to destroy it before it’s ready. Alongside all your steps you will have the patience and love of the Universe/God, the work and dedication of your pillars. And last, but not least, your active involvement.
Remember, you worked too hard to get where you are. All the suffering, all the discipline, the overcome handicaps, cannot remain in vain. KEEP GOING! KEEP YOUR FAITH! “And when you can’t do it anymore, you can do a little more.”
